Yeah, second rate photo stitching in the above image. The camera was on automatic exposure. I can not be bothered adjusting either shot because it was an eight bit per pixel colour image to start with and any messing about would reduce the quality. The part on the left is the correct exposure.

If you are planning on visiting Sydney from northern Europe or the northern part of North America, Sydney is on about the same latitude as Islamabad, Baghdad, Phoenix, and Long Beach. Practice taking photographs in sunny climates where colours wash out if your exposure is wrong.
