The Pet menu link title default module for Drupal sets a node edit Menu link title to the Title using Javascript.
Download pet_menu_link_title_default.zip and install it the normal way you install Drupal add-on modules.
The change is made using Javascript and the jQuery included with Drupal. The Menu settings block is opened as soon as you change the title. The Menu link title is not changed if it already has a value at the start of the edit. You can see the changes in menu link title as they happen.
If you are editing an existing node and want to change the menu link title when you change the title, empty the menu link title before editing the title.
