Nightfall

Jack Nightingale inherits a spooky house from his previously unknown biological father. There is death, devil worship, death, comedy, death, some interesting characters, death, some overly long pondering on the meaning of life, and death. Entertaining and too slow too often to be a thriller. Some of Stephen Leather's other books are better.

Midnight is a follow on novel about Jack Nightingale.
