Burn

Burn is the second book from Nick Brownlee featuring the maverick Kenyan crimebusting duo of Daniel Jouma and Jake Moore. Bait is the first book in the series and I recommend you read Bait first.

Crime busting in Kenya is different to the normal crime novels we read. Worth a read. I read Burn and, in retrospect, would have read bait first if I had known about Bait. Burn reveals enough of the Bait story to take the drama out of bait. Read bait then Burn.

I do not know if the characters are interesting enough to read more in the series. The description of life in Kenya makes the read worthwhile. If each Nick Brownlee novel describes a different aspect of life in Kenya, I will read more.

Nick Brownlee is British journalist who still writes for the press and wrote several non fiction books before writing a novel.
